The operating principle of pressure spraying is based on high-pressure fluid dynamics
The operating principle of pressure spraying is based on high-pressure fluid dynamics:
The core mechanism is the use of a high-pressure pump to pressurize a liquid material to a pressure of 5-20MPa, forcing the material to pass through a specially designed nozzle at high speeds (typically 100-300m/s).
Inside the nozzle, a vortex chamber or flow channel induces a rotational movement of the liquid, creating a high speed rotating liquid film. As the film exits the nozzle hole (0.5-2.0 mm in diameter), the shear stresses created by the velocity gradient and air resistance combine to break up the film into tiny droplets. Droplet size is largely dependent on pressure, nozzle aperture and material viscosity – the higher the pressure and the smaller the aperture, the finer the droplets.
The technology realizes effective contact between the material and the hot air by means of a conical spray (30°-90° spray angle), and is therefore suitable for drying highly concentrated, high viscosity materials such as tomato paste and detergents.
The advantages are simple structure and low energy consumption, but there are also limitations such as the risk of nozzle clogging and narrow droplet size distribution.
