Unveiling the Operational Steps of Double – Cone Rotary Vacuum Drying Equipment

1. Pre – operation Preparations: The First Line of Defense

Before the machinery springs into action, a meticulous inspection regime is non – negotiable. Technicians kick off by conducting a visual sweep of the equipment’s exterior. Any signs of cracks or deformations on the double – cone tank are flagged immediately, while loose connection parts are tightened to prevent potential material leaks and safeguard against equipment malfunctions. The vacuum system undergoes a thorough check, with the oil level of the vacuum pump carefully verified to be within the optimal range and pipes inspected for any damage or blockages. Similarly, the heating system is scrutinized for leaks in heat – conducting oil or steam pipes, and the reliability of the temperature control device is confirmed. Finally, the electrical control system is examined to ensure secure wiring connections and accurate instrument readings.

2. Equipment Startup: Setting the Wheels in Motion

Once the all – clear is given after inspection, it’s time to initiate the drying process. The material destined for drying is gently introduced into the double – cone tank via the inlet, with strict attention paid to maintaining a volume that doesn’t exceed 60% – 70% of the tank’s capacity. This ensures that the material can tumble freely and achieve optimal drying results. After a tight seal is secured on the inlet, the rotary motor is fired up, and a rotation speed, typically ranging from 5 – 20 revolutions per minute and customized according to the material’s unique properties, is set to set the material in motion.

3. Parameter Setting and Operation: Precision in Action

The vacuum system then swings into gear, gradually evacuating the chamber until the desired vacuum level, usually between – 0.08MPa and – 0.1MPa, is reached and maintained. Simultaneously, the heating system is activated, and a temperature, carefully calibrated based on the material’s heat sensitivity and typically falling within the 30℃ – 80℃ range, is set. Throughout the drying operation, operators keep a vigilant eye on the equipment, monitoring key parameters like vacuum degree, temperature, and rotation speed. Regular recordings of these metrics are made, providing valuable data for assessing drying efficiency and equipment performance.

4. End of Drying and Discharge: The Final Phase

When the material attains the desired dryness, the heating system is powered down. Patience is key as operators wait for the tank temperature to cool to a safe threshold, usually below 50℃, before shutting off the vacuum system. The air – break valve is then slowly opened to equalize the internal pressure with the atmosphere. Finally, the discharge port is opened, and the rotary motor springs back to life, facilitating the smooth unloading of the dried material. Post – discharge, a thorough cleaning of the equipment removes any lingering residues, ensuring it’s primed and ready for its next drying assignment.
